Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura
All paladins are able to produce the same righteous aura however the Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura focus on the in the direct conduit to their gods power that the lIght represents and enhance the power of that light further. As their innate spiritual connection to their god grows the miracles that manifest through their aura become stronger.
Hit Die: d10.
To qualify to become a Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura, a character must fulfill all the following criteria:
Alignment: Lawful good.
Base Attack Bonus: +6.
Skills: Knowledge (religion) 8 ranks
Feats: Extra Smite
Special: Holy Aura class feature that serves as a paladin’s badge of office.
The Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (nobility and royalty) (Int), Knowledge (religion) (Int), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), and Sense Motive (Wis).

All the following are class features of the Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura class.
Spells per Day
A Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura is a vessel of Devine will, mayhaps even more so then their brothers in arms, but they give no more focus on spell working then standard paladins. At every even level a Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura gains new spells per day as if they had also gained a level in whatever divine spellcasting class they belonged to before they added the prestige class.
Aura of Good (Ex): Your Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura levels stack with other class levels that grant this ability for the purpose of determining the power of your aura of good.
Turn Undead (Su): A Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura adds his Resplendent Aura class levels to his cleric levels for all purposes related to turning undead.
Smite Evil (Su): A Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura adds his Resplendent Aura class levels to his paladin levels for all purposes related to smite evil.
Lay on Hands (Su): A Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura adds his Resplendent Aura class levels to his paladin levels for all purposes related to their Lay on Hands ability.
Empower Aura (Su): A Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura enhances the internal light that all paladins gleam with, at first level they are able to extend the radius of their aura to emit bright light out to a maximum of thirty feet. They may extend or reduce to any distance between the standard shine of their light (bright light filling only their square) and the full glory of a thirty feet corona. Additionally any supernatural powers (Su) maybe added or removed from their aura at their choosing according to the paladins will.
Empathic Light (Ex): Where a Paladin’s light falls emotions are laid bare, whenever dealing with someone capable of seeing the brightness of their aura a Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura gains the following Holy bonus to their skills: +2 on diplomacy checks versus good creatures, +2 on intimidation checks versus evil creatures, and a +2 on all sense motive checks. Creatures merely need to be able to see the Paladin and their light in order for the Resplendent Paladin to gain this benefit. As an extraordinary power of the light the paladin has no ability to control the emotions it invokes in others and thus cannot dismiss this effect.
Scour Evil (Su): Creatures born of evil cannot stand to be within the light of good; at second level the paladin may enhance their aura to reflect evils degradation back on itself all undead and evil outsiders who stand within the bright light of their resplendent aura must make a Fortitude save DC = 10 + Class Level + Cha mod or take 1d4 damage every round until they remove themselves, save negates.
Healing Glow (Su): The aura of good that shines forth from a paladin is an extension of their very soul. At fourth level a paladin may channel their lay on hands ability to any creature within the area of their aura (thirty feet maximum) as though they were within touch contact.
Righteous Center (Su): At fifth level the paladin when surrounded by their light becomes so repugnant to evil that even approaching them becomes difficult. At will they may become the center of a magic circle against evil so long as their aura is at least extended to the ten foot range.
Reinvigorating Shine (Su): The Paladin’s light bolsters their allies and helps them continue the fight against evil. At seventh level the paladin may grant fast healing to those whom they consider allies equal to the paladin’s Charisma modifier. Use of this ability does drain the Paladin’s Lay on Hands ability by the amount healed per round healed regardless of the number of allies receiving that healing. EG. Victor the paladin of St. Cuthbert has a charisma mod of 5 and three allies within thirty feet of him. All four may heal five points while only reducing his Lay on Hands healing for the day by five points. This healing occurs on Victor’s round and is a free action to start or stop.
Permanent Aura: At eighth level a Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura has become so directly connected to their deities font of power that they are unable to fully suppress their aura any longer. From now on a paladin may only suppress their aura down to the equivalent brightness of candle light, in addition once per week the paladin my cast commune for free.
The Truth Shines Though: A Holy Paladin of the Resplendent Aura can not be deceived by the lies or masks of the wicked. At ninth level any illusion effect within the radius of the paladin’s light is suppressed, additionally any evil creature is shrouded in a sickly black aura that declares the vileness of their soul to all that see them no matter the alignment concealing magic the creature may be benefiting from.
Evil Laid Low (Su): The chinks of evils armor are made blatant in the light of glory. When smiting evil a paladin no longer needs to confirm their critical threats.
